Mac Chung Lynn, CEO and founder of Nando's Malaysia, talks about her ambitious expansion plans, the pros and cons of being located in a shopping mall versus in a standalone shoplot, why some of the outlets are profitable, and the checks and balances to ensure restaurants maintain quality standards though there may be occasional problems. On whether Nando's uses chickens that are excessively pumped with hormones, Chung Lynn says their sources should adhere to Malaysian laws and guidelines. Nando's presently operates 32 outlets and plans to double the number in three years. Nando's will also be spreading its wings in Singapore.
